What is alkali glass?

Also known as Alkali glass or soda-lime glass. It is the most widely used type of fiberglass. Alkali glass accounts for approximately 90% of all manufactured glass. It is the most common type used to make glass containers such as jars and bottles for food and beverages, as well as window panes.

Why did WE Soda acquire Genesis Alkali?

The acquisition of Genesis Alkali establishes WE Soda as the largest global producer of soda ash, increasing our total production capacity to approximately 9.5 million mtpa.

Why should we integrate Alkali with Project West?

By integrating the Alkali facilities with our own Project West development, we plan to utilise the combined engineering expertise of Alkali and WE Soda, and to access existing Alkali infrastructure to significantly reduce the cost and development risk of Project West.
